TEL AVIV, ISRAEL - June 13, 2018 - Leading Israeli autonomous drone startup Airobotics has been named to "The Wall Street Journal’s 2018 Top 25 Tech Companies to Watch" list. The list honors companies that show signs they are on their way to becoming emerging leaders in some of the most dynamic parts of the tech industry. Airobotics was chosen due to the attention its autonomous drone solution for commercial use has garnered, the company’s growing workforce and customer base, as well as its successful funding.

“We are honored to be recognized by The Wall Street Journal for our advanced and unique autonomous drone platform and data software,” said Ran Krauss, CEO and Co-Founder of Airobotics. “Our team works incredibly hard to provide mining companies, seaports, and other clients with a solution that increases productivity and safety and decreases operational costs. We are committed to pushing boundaries in the industries we serve and we’re looking forward to growing our company, especially in the area of smart cities, over the next few years.”

Airobotics has developed a pilotless drone solution, the first of its kind in the global market. The company provides an end-to-end, fully automatic solution for collecting aerial data and gaining invaluable insights. The industrial grade platform is available on-site and on-demand, enabling industrial facilities to access premium aerial data in a faster, safer, more efficient way. This is the latest accomplishment for the hyper-growth startup, including:

  • $71m in funding to date
  • Grew from 80 to 250 employees in 1.5 years
  • Logged more than 30,000 automated flights to date
  • First company worldwide granted authorization to fly fully automated pilotless drones (certified by Civil Aviation Authority of Israel)
  • Expansion into several new countries including Australia, Chile, New Caledonia, and the United States

Airobotics has recently been honored by Fast Company as “One of the World’s Most Innovative Companies” and also received recognition from Frost & Sullivan with the 2018 Global New Product Innovation Award. In April last year the company was awarded an Edison Award for innovation and excellence in the development of new products and services.
